KOKRAJHAR, April 16: BPPF candidate for 5-Kokrajhar ST HPC UG Brahma in an election campaign meeting held at Serfanguri called to fight against unprecedented corruption, nepotism and maladministration in BTC, saying that these have become a serious concern and may bring a critical setback in the society.
Brahma in the meeting said, their party if voted to power will ensure safety and security to all people, economic infrastructures through pressurizing Centre to announce BTC region in Special Economic Zone and permanent solution of floods and erosion problems through comprehensive policy and proper survey of rivers of Bodoland. He also said, the unemployment problem, educational problem and other problems would be looked into if they are voted to power. Besides, the withdrawal of all pending cases of Bodoland movement leaders and workers, modification of certain clause of BTC accord and direct funding pattern with enhancing of existing allocation would be their main agenda.
The meeting was also addressed by BPPF president Rabiram Narzary. He called upon the people to vote in favour of it’s candidate UG Brahma to ensure safety and security, corruption free governance and peaceful co-existence in the region.
